Amongst the newly christened creatures is the Cyclosa xingqing sp. Nov., affectionately known as the “Starry Mood spider,” inspired by a romantic ballad from Chou’s debut album released back in 2000. Other arachnids received monikers such as “Rainbow spider,” “Dragon Fist spider,” and “Excuse spider,” each drawing inspiration from Chou’s iconic musical repertoire.
